Tipper, May 16

Update: By midnight, Tipper was clearly worse than Global Dub had been the night before, making 2015 Global Dub sound like elevator music by comparison. It was horrible inside and outside, and got worse after 10 p.m.

Sure hope Morrison made money on that one– if it wasn’t over the limit and racking up fines, it should have been. We have reports that it ran past time limits as well.

To rate any noise from tonight’s concert, here’s the scale we used last year. Please add further comments below if you wish.

  1. barely noticeable, not disturbing
  2. moderately noisy, somewhat disturbing
  3. noisy, annoying, couldn’t be outside
  4. kept awake or woke from a sound sleep, significantly disturbing
  5. walls and windows rattling, extremely disturbing, even indoors

Arts & Venues asks that you report sound you hear using their survey, or call the concert phone line: 720-865-2494, option 4  and someone will fill it out for you. There may be wait times.

We appreciate a quick report here or by email, too, so we can keep track of the information as well.

Thanks!

  1. I would like to say that I am 100% sure that the Tipper show DID NOT run over time limits. Tipper ended his set at exactly 12:28 am and lights in the venue turned on at 12:29 am.
